Problem in registering device to IoT Hub from Customer Assets and creating IoT alert in Connected Field Service.

1. I am adding a new customer asset in connected field service and registering it to IoTHub by clicking on Register Devices button.

2. After that the registration status remains in "In Progress" status. It does not give any error nor the status is getting changed to "Registered".

3. The device gets listed in the Simulator as well as Azure.

4. The simulator device also accepts commands sent by the CRM.  But when I increase the temperature beyond threshold, IoT alert is not being created in CRM.

I saw same issues created in different tickets, any thoughts on this?

Check the Flow that was triggered by the Register command. Seems it didn't run through completely. This often happens when the connection from Azure to D365 is not configured correctly, so that the Flow cannot update the registration status. It would also explain why you don't get alerts, the entire communication IoT2CRM is not working.

Did you authenticate the D365 connection in your Azure resource group?

    Hi Alex,

much appreciate for the quick response!

I was using iot deployment app to generate the iot hub. It created successfully and I reckon it should have authenticated the connection. How could I investigate the connection between D365 and Azure resource group?

Check this step of the installation process: docs.microsoft.com/.../cfs-authorize-api-connection
