Problem Client Add-in dll and terminal server 2008r2

Hi

I created a dll (Client add-in dll for Microsoft Navision) in C#.net.  I strongly named it.  I have placed the dll in the add-ins folder of navision.  When I run the navision client on terminal server or locally, everything went fine.  When my colleague runs the navision client locally, it runs fine.  But when he runs it on the same terminal server, he gets an error that the dll is not loaded/available

I also placed the dll in the gac of the terminal server, same result (->not working for another user, working for me)

When i delete the dll under my account on ts, and my colleague installs the dll.  When he runs Navision it is not working for him.  When I run Navision under my account, it runs... ???? (so the same result as in the first paragraph)

I don't know how to solve this

please help

thanks

Jef

    hi,

try with REGISTER command to force youur DLL as system global resource.

    example :   REGISTER "C:\Program Files\FRx Financial Reporting\fsfrl60.dll" /SYSTEM

The /SYSTEM parameter passed to the REGISTER command forces the DLL to be registered as a "system global" resource.

I can't execute this command on ts2008r2.  I now have used a workaround, so this problem is now solved for me

Could you please clarify the workaround used for future reference?

    Thanks
