Hi,
We are migrating data from an old CRM 2013 instance to a new operation D365 instance and i wan't to make sure that our safety plan is sufficient to block re-syncing migration emails and sending old email out again accidentally (If thats even possible). The set up is as followed D365, Server-side sync on and users have App for outlook.
Our plan is.:
1. Turn of syncing from each mailbox in the mailbox setting. (I can't deactivat mailboxes becaus i don't have office admin right and will not be able to reactivate them)
2. Change the server-side sync read from date to migration running date or yesterday. (history data won't be this fresh)
3.We will only migrate sent, recieved and completed emails.
Do you guys think this should work or am i overlooking something?
Filipp,
If my reply answered your question take a minute and click "Yes" under question "Did this answer your question?" at the top of reply.
Hi,
That's pretty much what i was planning to do.
We are using our own in-house migration tool that uses the D365 CE api:s to import the data into D365.

Hello,
If you use plain update to set email statecode/statuscode and don't plan to use SendEmail message to change the state of email - you're good to go.
Just because of my curiosity - what tool do you use to migrate the data?
