Hi,
I am upgrading from AX2012 R2 to D365 V10. After uploading model store in LCS project, i have run code analyzer which converts model store into deploy able package. This step is continuously failing and giving error "The work items could not be created for the Visual Studio Team Services project. Please verify the Visual Studio Team Services account has permissions to create and delete work items and then retry." My user is project owner and have granted all permissions including "Create and delete work items" in DevOps as well, still getting same error.
What can be the issue?
Regards,
Wajahat Mirza
Same answer from MS received.
Thanks, Wajahat. We have also submitted a ticket to MS. Waiting for theire answer.
This a bug in LCS VSTS. Yesterday I submitted a support ticket to Microsoft and they replied that this is a known bug and other customers also complained about it. Microsoft saying the code upgrade is completed and from repository in VSTS (DevOps) it can be downloaded or code can be fetched after connecting VSTS in Visual studio in Dev environment.
Below is the reply from Microsoft Technical Support team:
"This is a known issue on some accounts, which happens at the end of the upgrade. If you receive this error, the code upgrade has actually successfully completed - it just won't have created the work items. If customer wants to know the tasks, they can use the Excel sheet that is on the code upgrade.
So to summarize - this error can safely be ignored and happens after the code upgrade has successfully completed and checked in all the code to source control. Customer can ignore this error and proceed with the remaining work for their upgrade."
Yes, we selected all the permissions .
We 're facing the same issue since last week, even we successed before.
Has Microsoft changed something ?
Did you set up connection of LCS with Azure dev ops in Projects settings of your upgrade project ?
In LCS project settings you connect LCS to devOps and provide security token there. This token has some permissions when you create it, did you check them and user token belongs to ?
