RE: Kingswaysoft (test connection failed) with generic error

In the Kingswaysoft Change Log, the warning message was in regards to the deprecation of the Online Federation authentication. – see www.kingswaysoft.com/.../change-log

Update: We added necessary warning messages in CRM/CDS connection manager that warns about the deprecation of Online Federation authentication option if used. We recommend you switch to OAuth immediately to avoid future service disruptions.

Follow the Kingswaysoft protocol here to create a new connection using OAuth:  www.kingswaysoft.com/.../connection-manager

Here’s a nice guide on how to set it up the App registration, permissions and application user:   www.briteglobal.com/.../

You’ll need to register the SSIS Integration in Azure Portal to get the Client App ID and Client Secret, and then you can create the Application user in CRM using the Application ID from the Azure Portal registration.  docs.microsoft.com/.../use-single-tenant-server-server-authentication

Make sure you assign the Application user a security role.
