I have installed CU7 with DMF.  I can able to successfully gernate source mapping and import the data from CSV file.   But Editing CSV file in Excel has some formating issue like value '00002' is automatically converting into 2 when saving the csv file.   So i have planned to use the excel format with DIXF.

When i generate the source file using the 'Generate source file' wizard, the excel template getting generated.  But when i try to map the same excel template using the 'Generate source mapping' button i am receiving the following error.

The version of Microsoft Excel is not supported.-The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.

I have installed Windows 7 64 bit & Office 32 bit.  I have also installed 'Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable' , '2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components'.  But still i am facing the above issue.

Please help me to resolve this issue.

I am experiencing the same thing. I have tested with Office 2010 32b and Office 2013 64b.

The only thing that worked was doing a silent install of the 64b Access DB Engine on the 32b system, but that broke Excel, or at least made it unstable.

Please validate the pre-requisite and system requirements to utilize the DIXF

    Hi  TOMMY SKAUE,

Slient install of the 64b Access DB Engine resolve this issue.  But i am getting an additional error that "Query validation failed-Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

A excel customer with only mandatory field and i have given the sheet lookup value as =Customer!$A$1:$F$1

i guess the sheet lookup value is to specify only the field names.  please correct me in case i am wrong

I also did the silent install, but it broke my Excel application. Currently it invokes the Repair Office dialog each time Excel is started. I haven't got around to reinstall things on this box yet. Unfortunately I didn't create a snapshot before crippling it.

    Hi Naganathan!

"Query validation failed" problem is caused by the fact that you specified Sheet lookup without "$" dollar sign at the end. Please try to specify it as, for instance, "Product$" instead of "Product" and you will get it working

I explained this on my blog here: ax2012dmfdataimport.blogspot.com/.../dynamics-ax-2012-dixf-issues-and.html

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks!
