Hello,
When somebody submits maternity leave or a sabbatical absence the period of time can be anything up to 12 months. Is there a way of submitting these leave/absence types without having to fill in the amount field manually for every day of absence?

Yeah there is, but means the use of "Leave of Absence' Processing.
In order to do this, you need to maintain the 'suspended by' on the leave type:
Once thats' done, requesting the leave type 'adoption leave' will be based on requesting leave of absence:
This is actually based on start and end date:
Please note: This has impact on the leave processes, and is processed diferently.
