Dear All,

Is the feature limitations of the MSD Nav Web Client is covered up in the latest version of MSD Nav 2018?

Instead of Web Client what are the best methods for remote accessing MSD Nav application?

Appreciate your valuable inputs.

Regards,

Ranjith Surendran

It still have the limitations list:

Yesterday I failed with excel file import to excel buffer in web client and spent about an hour to understood that it normally works in RTC. So double-test your extensions.

Web client is good enough for 90% of functions. I guess, you can't find something better.

    Dear Andrey,

    Thanks for your reply.

On premises installation is okay with this, because we can access the application via both windows client and web client. But what about in case of cloud deployment? It's very difficult with the limitation of web client.

    Hi,

Suppose the application deployment is in cloud, how to access the application as an end user? In case of Web Client, the feature limitations are persist.

    Thanks

Business Central a little bit different from NAV2018 and have less limitations.

For example Excel Buffer of BC has import from stream function unlike NAV2018.  And there are lots of other small things to avoid issues.

I think that Microsoft provides all that you need for comfortable work with cloud version without limitations. At present moment i haven't heard that something usual didn't work in BC.
