Estimated Production Order, costing does not show

Hello all,

I use costing method is weight avg. I purchase raw material (B01.01) and invoice it.

When I estimated production order, cost of raw material still equal 0.

Do I have any wrong setup?

estimate.png

By the way, D01.01 is semi product of D01. In the first production order in system, after I estimated production order, cost of D01.01 does not show. Cost of D01.01 only show if I end production order of Item before. Does that way system operate?

Please help me.

Thank you.

Phung Luong.

RE: Estimated Production Order, costing does not show

    Hi @Ludwig

I have following most Important Queries relevant to same subject of Cost price estimation:

1- If i purchase same item from different sources which can have different costs (for which i use Batch wise costs), this last cost price field only show cost for last transaction. Which may be different for my next purchase i want to make for specific Production order / Project . How do i get the correct cost in Estimate/Project item cost?

2- (in continuity of 1, What if i want to choose specific available batch/serial of item (with specific costs) for Production order/Project and want that cost in Estimate/Project for correct Estimation/project budget?.

3- Can i maintain multiple cost versions with planned cost, and pick one at time of Estimation/Project item line creation?

4- if for example im purchasing new item, i have option to purchase from 2 different vendors with different Prices (probably as trade agreement), can choose trade agreement prices or Vendor at time of Estimation/Project item line creation?

    Hello all,

After I check latest cost price or add costing version, problem was solved :)

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Phung Luong,

You do not necessarily have to setup a costing version if you do not use costing versions already but at least the cost price field in the released product window should include a $-value. Probably try to enter one and run the estimate again as this can be done over and over again :-)

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

It should be checked, because if you have 0 cost price on item and this check box is unchecked AX won't use price from PO.

    Hello Ludwig,

    Thank you for your response.

"What I can identify from your screen above is that item B01.01 does not have a cost price setup.

Please check in the released products form whether you can find something in the price field of your item and/or in one of your costing versions whether something is setup there." --> you mean I should setup a costing version that is planned cost for B01.01. I think if I purchase Item B01.01, system will find the cost price for estimated production order.

"The other thing that you write seems to be related to the explosion of your item while running the production estimate.

In the inventory management module you should be able to find the calculation group form.

Do you have the "stop explosion" parameter enabled for one of the items included in your BOM?" --> I choose "stop explosion" is no.

    Thank you.

If so, what happens if you change this setup?

    Hi Phung,

Do you have "Latest cost price" enabled on B01.01 item ?

You can find it on "managed cost" tab in product details

And second question did you have price in PO line ?
