Security Different from PRD to TRN with the same Roles.

AX 2012 R2 CU7.  I am trying to remove access from a role, but I want to copy the existing role, and rename it, but my New, Delete, copy, and paste are grayed out in PRD.  I went into my other environments and I can see the New, Delete, Copy, and Paste.  I have the same roles, across the board, applied to my user.  What is different in PRD, that I cannot see those buttons/actions?  Any help would be appreciated.

Security role changes are meant to be done by technical staff with System Administrator access, since it does modify the MorphX objects in the backend within the AX Application Object Tree (AOT).

If your technical staff follows Microsoft Best Practices on how to release new code properly between environments with an AX ModelStore to Production, and your modified security object changes were not applied on the source environment (Build AOS), all changes you have done will be overwritten/lost.

I would suggest consulting with your AX implementation team. If it is your task to carry out security implementation, then you would most likely need access to a developer AX AOS instance with System Administrator rights, then get someone to check in your customizations to your Version Control system.

I am aware of what the changes will affect.  I am currently a sys admin in both environments, and in charge of security.  I have all the permissions I need in TRN.  We recently did a refresh of the TRN environment from our PRD environment, of both data/code, so I am curious what happened to PRD, that I can no longer access those sections.

Do you have the Security Development Tool installed? Are there any customizations for the forms involving the security UI?

No, I do not have the security dev tool, and no customizations to the UI.
