Good morning all,
It has been a while since I looked for information on the 'field definitions' for Canadian Payroll tables. I know, and use all the time, the tables provided by Victoria Yudin ( big thanks for that )
However I am not able to find any reference to the CPY tables. Canadian Payroll has some very strange table values and I am in the middle of trying to map CPY tables to an external HR solution. The client has developed a middle ware application to feed data from SQL / CSV or other formats into the HR solution, but we need to provide the correct mapping details.
Anyone out there got a line on the Table definitions for CPY I would be most grateful.
Yes, we have closed 2020, so I try out the CPY 50260 table. Thank you!!!
Have you closed the Payroll year? If so, you are going to need the CPY50260 table. If you have not closed the year then the CPY30260 would the one that still has the 2020 data
The only difference with the two tables is the 50260 has the YEAR field. It has all closed / historical payroll years.
Hope this helps.
In need 2020 data (July 1 - Dec 31). I have used table: CPY10160.
For July - Oct, we had monthly and weekly payroll dates and for Nov. - Dec. biweekly pay dates.

Sara, what table(s) are you currently looking at? What range of dates do you need to find information for? Do you need just 2021 information or before 2021? Answer will define the table(s).
Terry,
I am looking for a Canadian Payroll table that has details by Pay Date. I have only found a table with Current, MTD, QTD & YTD.
I need a list of all of the gross pay amounts by Check Date.
Thanks Terry, that is where I did start and I was able to make out most of the table / field names. There are some that just defy logic - but I think I will make it work.
My year ends are going well - and we are well into T4 reconcile - my most "not" favorite time of the year . . . . but hey what else do we have to do during the pandemic - more and more accounting - enough said.
Talk soon.
Hi Bill, nice to hear from you, hope year end is going well.
Yes Canadian Payroll is not as prevalent with resources as the core products and wealth of information on the web.
I agree that the table structure can be a bit challenging at times with that product as it was brought in developed by another company so sometimes the logic does not match what you see in core GP.
I would use the old fashion way of Tools | Resource | Table Descriptions to try and find out some information.
Whenever I may have an issue where it pulls from, etc, I always key it in GP with a small log running and you will see the table and field it writes/ maps to as well, just probably a bit more work then we may want to do.
Thanks
Terry Heley
