Bulk email - do not allow for event registration

Hello Community,

Need your ideas/support for the following situation.
We have D365 Marketing, we setup an event. Now, we can register participants via a form or directly in the default Power App Portal form.
Without any difference between the above 2, when a new participant registers, the associated contact has "bulk email" field marked "do not allow".

What is the problem you might ask?

Oh, well, we defined a segment looking at event registration so every time a new participants registers we can send a marketing email with his/hers QR code (and also other marketing communication along the way: reminders, thanks you etc.)
So, my newly registered participant is a contact in my database, it will be caught in the segment, the customer journey will start, but he will be marked as a contact with "do not email" so none of the communication with him/her will not be delivered.
To modify manually this field on contact is not an option, but nevertheless even if we do so, it won't be considered unless is a recurring journey, case in which he/she will receive the same email over and over again depending on the recurrence set.
What is the solution? What am I missing in the path?
How should we register these participants (contacts) without "do not allow", or target them without sending the same email more than once.

Thanks for your attention,
Alexandra

    Hi AlexandraA,

You can create a workflow or power automate flow to send email to them. Something like this:

    Hi Steve,

We need to use D365 Marketing capabilities, so the email will be defined as a marketing email and sent from a customer journey for every event registration created.
So, I need a suggestion/correction for above scenario but considering D365 Marketing communication.

    Thanks,
    Regards,
    AlexandraA

You probably want to mark the email as 'transactional' vs. 'commercial'

    Hi,

Yes, this will solve my problem, indeed because when participants register in the event portal, they are marked with email field on allow.

    Thanks a lot!
