How to check the latest release calendar and apply it in LCS

As my know, the latest release will be general availability for Jun 6 for 10.0.44 via webpage.
 
1) may i know how can check this upcoming released date schedule in LCS?
 
2) as general availability will be ready on Jun 6, how can i update it in LCS earlier instead of pending till the first autoupdate schedule for prod?

    Hi @J_Lee,

    1) How to check the upcoming release date schedule in LCS?

    You can check the upcoming release (like 10.0.44) in two ways:

    Via Microsoft Docs:

    Go to the official release calendar here:

    🔗 https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/fin-ops/get-started/public-preview-releases

    Via LCS (Lifecycle Services):

    Open your LCS project:

    • Select the environment (Sandbox/Production)

    • Click on Environment details

    • Navigate to the Updates or Maintain > Apply updates section

    • There, you'll see available versions and planned auto-update timelines

    2) How can I apply the update earlier in LCS (before GA auto-update to PROD)?

    You can manually apply it earlier in a Sandbox environment:

    • In LCS, go to your Sandbox (Tier 2+ environment)

    • Click Maintain > Apply Updates

    • If 10.0.44 is available, it will show up — you can schedule the update manually

    • Test it there, and then promote it to PROD via your deployment process

    Just to add something, you can read here how to update your sandbox and production environment.
    You first need to update a sandbox and then you can mark in the sandbox the update for a release. In the PROD environment you can then schedule the update.

    Hi J_Lee,

     

    Once you’ve successfully tested the update (e.g., 10.0.44) in your Sandbox environment, here’s how you can promote it to Production via the standard deployment process:

    Steps to Promote an Update to PROD in LCS:

     

    Complete Testing in Sandbox:

    Make sure you've thoroughly tested the update in a Tier 2+ environment — including customizations, integrations, and business scenarios.

     

    (If applicable) Create a Deployable Package:

    • If your update includes any custom code or hotfixes:
    • Build the model/package in your DEV box using Visual Studio
    • Generate the deployable .zip package
    • Upload it to LCS → Asset Library → Software deployable packages

     

    Schedule the Production Update in LCS:

    • Go to your Production environment in LCS
    • Click Maintain > Apply Updates
    • Choose the required Microsoft platform update (e.g., 10.0.44) or your custom package from the Asset Library
    • Select a preferred downtime window for the deployment
    • Submit the request
