Register absences for work center (Manufacturing 2009 R2)

Posted on by 1,428

Hi All,

I want to which method to use record absences for work center. we have few methods,

1. Registered Absences (Capacities--> Absences)

2. Reg.Abs(For work center) (Capacities--> Absences)

3.Absence (Work center --> Planing -->Absences)

Q1: If i want to record identified future absence after planing process over (ex: urgent maintenance, labor absence ) , What is the most suitable function for that ?

Q2: After record absence all planned , released orders will reschedule ? is it correct ? Even if we re plan the order will it (absence) be effect to released orders  ?

    This is only if you have Source Type = Sales Header. But you can use Replan on RPO.

    Hi Aleksander,

    thanks for the reply.

    i have recorded the work center absence & updated. Then load reduce from work center load but  it wont update in released production order(RPO). The RPO is MTO(make to order) type one. it consit few lines. system wont refresh the RPO & saying reserved QTY must be 0 in production order line. Now how can we reschedule the order to effect absence.

    Q1:

    Depends what you want:

    1) You can use only Work center-> Planing->Absences and  Absence->Update to insert it in WC Calendar

    2) You can use Registered Absences, Implement Registered Absence after that and Work center-> Planing->Absences...

    3) You can also use Reg. Abs. (from Work Center) for more dates absences in one time, Implement Registered Absence after that and Work center-> Planing->Absences...

    Q2:

    Released PO will not be rescheduled by system. You need to refresh these production orders to affect these absences changes.
