Workflow does not show up on SalesQuotationTable Form

Hi Everyone

In Sales And Marketing -> SalesQuotationTable Form, I found a there is a system Workflow is called "RetailSalesQuotationLineWFType". Then I found this WF is under Retail. So I went to retail, and create this WF and active it. However, When I back to SalesQuotationTable Form, the Workflow WorkflowActionBarButtonGroup did not show up anyway. Did I still miss any necessary steps to active this WF?

You need to use "review project quotations" under project module instead. Project quotations and Sales quotations use the same workflow.

The one that you have used under retail is only used for sales quotation price override.

Hi

I also create review project quotation under project module. But on SalesQuotationTable form, it still does not show up any WF.

You should look at form code and search by workflow keyword . Workflow is enabled and disabled on certain conditions and values present in MCRSalesQuotationLine table . Did you do that ? As name suggest its related to retail functionality so it would not be enabled for normal sales quotation.

For some reason can't find out what's going on with project quotations as it still uses Sales Quotation table but workflow is not being used on Sales Quotation table.

Here is what it would take to get the sales quotation workflow activated (It's only applicable to price override on Sales Quotation):
1. Create a call center under Retail > Channels > call centers > all call centers
2. Select the call center and on channel tab . Add channel users and add your user. Workflow is user specific, all users needs to be part of channel users if you want workflow to work for them.
3. Setup workflow as you did earlier under Retail where name is "Retail sales quotation line workflow' and type is "RetailSalesQuotationLineWFType'.
4. Close AX or refresh URL (AX doesn't seem to get the current user addition to call center right away in some cases).
5. Create new sales quotation, enter line item. You may not see workflow until now.
6. Override price and now workflow is visible.
If you are using AX VM, then you can try this in USRT company, just add your user under call center.
Hope this helps. It may not give you workflow as you may expect (it's different than one how it works on purchase order etc.) but this is what Standard D365FO offer out of the box.
