Is it possible to pull Sales Invoice Line Items into Excel from Web Service in Business Central? Would this require custom code?

If you register a Popdock account, you can use the Excel Add-in and without logging into Business Central or Popdock, immediately import the report that you setup in Popdock like the Sales Invoice Line Items.  Basically each web service you create is a list in Popdock and you can get all that data into Popdock or Excel if you wanted.

    Hi,

There is possibility. Here are steps how to do so:

    1. Go to web services and add new web service. You can either use Query 102. It is based on Value Entries of type of Sales Invoice. Or you can create new page which will have all fields which are on Table Sales Invoice Lines - I do not know if this Query will be enough for you.

    2. Go to excel and In Data Tab choose Get Data -> From Other Sources -> From Web.

    3. Put A URL as in field OData V4 URL. Note: Excel can ask you for authentication.

    4. The Query Editor will be open. Click first on List

    5. You will see list of records. Click Action To Table and then OK

    6. Click on the Columns to choose columns

    7. You will see all columns with Values. Then Click Close & Load to get data to excel

    Here is the result:

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Krzysztof
