Fixed Asset Name description - how to increase characters allowed

Hi,
 
Is it possible to increase the allowed  fixed asset name characters? to have more than 30 characters.
 
How to do it? Thank you.

    Hi Sharlene,
     
    It would require customization. Find out the EDT used for the Name field and increase the field size.
    Changing the size of the EDT will affect all the places where it was used.
    So better option will be creating new EDT and mapping it to the name field.
