When I try to send email(s) using Customer Voice, I get the following error:

There was an error while sending the email. Please try again in some time.

Does anyone know of a solution for this?

Thank you!

John

    John.

Have you checked your user permissions and security roles to confirm the customer voice privileges are updated?

If you open the assigned security role and click on the "Custom Entities" tab you should see the customer voice privileges.

Let me know if that worked.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Tom, thank you very much for your reply.  It turns out that the problem was being caused by extraneous personalization variables in the .csv file I was importing.  Initially, I included RegardingID and RegardingEntityName, but we're not using those D365 variables for this survey and so those fields were always empty.  This seems to be what was causing the "There was an error while sending the email. Please try again in some time." error.  When I removed RegardingID and RegardingEntityName, I was able to email the survey invitations.

Thanks again for your reply, Tom.  I hope you have a great day!

Hi John, I'm having a similar issue and found this post.  I have RegardingID and RegardingEntityName as variables and both of those are headings in my csv file that I uploaded.  These variables are set to Enter Default Value.  I also had the Locale variable which I removed as I don't have a column for this in my csv file.

My understanding is that the RegardingID and RegardingEntityName variables are required if you want to capture survey data against contact records.

Any idea why I'm still getting the error message?  Any help is much appreciated.

    Hi Carmela P ,

The error message you received indicates that there could be several reasons for this error message, including:

    1. Temporary connectivity issues: Customer Voice may be experiencing temporary connectivity issues, which could prevent it from sending emails successfully. In this case, you can try again later to see if the issue has been resolved.

    2. Incorrect email configuration: If the email configuration is not set up correctly, it can cause errors when trying to send emails. Make sure that you have entered the correct email credentials and that your email server is properly configured.
    3. Spam filters: Some email providers may have strict spam filters that could prevent the email from being delivered. Check your spam folder to see if the email was filtered out.

    4. Email limits: If you are trying to send a large number of emails at once, you may exceed the email sending limits set by your email provider. In this case, you may need to send the emails in smaller batches.

If you continue to experience issues with sending emails using Customer Voice, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

    Thanks,
    Manoj Mane.

Hi, Carmela.  I solved the problem by only including the following fields in my .csv file:

    Email Address,First Name,Last name,locale,Id,Batch

(Id and Batch are my own personalization variables.)

Hope this helps! Best of luck!

    Hello everyone,

I encounter the same problem when attempting to send a substantial number of surveys via email. It works smoothly when sending a small number, such as 10, but it doesn't function as expected when attempting to send 100.

I successfully sent the same number of surveys (2000) last year using the same user account without any problems.

Do you have any insights into why I'm encountering this error?

    Thank you in advance.

    Marouane.

Same here. I created around 5 surveys and were sending one by one to set of people. For one survey the count was above 100, it started giving error.
Now, I can't even send survey to ONE person.

Any suggestions on how to rectify this issue?

I came across one thing today, Yesterday after sending some survey, I got this error.
Today (after 24hrs), I tried again, after sending the Survey to 100 users, started getting the error again.
Is there any Limit of 100 Emails to be send???

    Hello,

I passed the send email step without error today, however, most of the emails were not delivered in any case, but at least I have the survey URL generated in the surveyinvites table.

    Regards.
