Hi,

I am trying to do a manually bank statement. I would like to choose the customer account instead of a offset account number on the line. How do I configure it to be able to do that?

    Hi Matilda,

As per my knowledge, you need customization for displaying the customer number instead of offset account number on the line.
You need to change the code of for it.

Make sure the post effects and behavior of standard process meets your requirement before customization.

    Thanks,

I think you need customization for this.

    Hi Matilda,

Indeed, customization is necessary to display the customer number. However, before proceeding with customization, it's essential to consider that this bank statement might also include transactions paid to suppliers, where it may be irrelevant to provide the customer account field in the financial tab.

If you are customizing this to import only customer-related bank statements, then it would be appropriate to customize and add an additional field, 'Customer Account,' in the bank statement line instead of the finance tab. This way, a trading party can also be tied up with your customer account.

And also ensure that the post-effects and behavior of the standard process meet your requirements before considering customization.

It would be helpful if you explain your customer requirements clearly so that I can suggest the best approach to manage this.

    Hi Abhishek,

My customer would like to have the possibillity to post to customer account, supplier account and general ledger account when posting the bank statement. I am not familiar with bank statements since we are not using that in Sweden. My customers head quarter is located in Sweden but it is their legal entity in Germany that asks for this. As I have understood it is common in Germany to use bank statements. Perhaps the thoughts is to work in another way in D365.

I will show you an example from the customer.

    The bank statement:
