Hiding or removing Review Periods

Posted on by 32

When an employee or manager is creating a performance review is it possible to restrict the list of review periods to only those that are active? For example we currently have 5 review periods, all of which users can select as below

However in the review period setup, 4 of these are now expired. We've tried deleting the old ones but as they have been used then they can't be.

The longer we have the system then the more periods there will be which unless we can get rid of some somehow then the list to choose from will become long and confusing for the end users.

Wondering how other manage this situation or what suggestions people have please?

Thanks, Sarah

Hope they get it done for you real quick as it's a minor customization. Can you mark this thread as verified if it was helpful.

Thanks Abdul. I'll speak with our 3rd party party then and see if this is something they could setup for us as even if we knew how to do that ourselves, we'd probably be in breach of our support contract if we made any customisations. Good to know it can be done though. Thanks

RE: Hiding or removing Review Periods

    Hi Sarah,

The solution for this is to do the customization by involving a developer. I'll share my thoughts about how to fulfill this requirement.

Do the extension on performance period table & form to add a field of enum(Yes or No) type 'Active'. So you can select the performance period & mark it as Active or not.

On the New Review form's performance period control copy the event handler for onlookup & write the query to include only the Active periods.
