Hi,
is there a way to send RFQs via D365 to vendors? how? if yes is there a way to edit the message before sending it to the vendors?
Hi Georgek,
You can send printout produced by "Send" operation via e-mail to vendors.
And you can try to specify vendor contact e-mail as a destination for e-mail.
www.sikich.com/.../
But I'm not sure if you can send customized messages each time.
Hi Sergei,
the article is showing purchase orders and my question is for the request for quotations. Does the article steps also apply for request for quotations?
Yes, the approach is the same. The only difference is how to get to Print settings window in "Sending request for quotation" dialog.
There is "Print" button on "Sending request for quatation" dialog which will open print settings for you and you need to activate printing by "Print request for quotation" checkbox and in "Advanced printing options" you can set up a destination for printout (described in the article)
Also, you can try to workaround custom message for vendor via custom printout for vendor
You can read about print management and how to specify custom printouts for different vendors:
docs.microsoft.com/.../set-up-print-management-for-a-customer-or-vendor
RFQ printout is also supported by configurable business documents, which will give you a fast way to create custom printout for vendors in Excel:
