I have installed SharePoint 2010, Dynamics Business Portal Version 6.0.1053.0. When I try to log on the BP site getting error as given below

Microsoft.BusinessFramework.Security.AuthenticationException: Invalid user.
at Microsoft.BusinessFramework.UserManager.VerifyUser()
at Microsoft.BusinessFramework.EnterpriseSession.Initialize(String enterpriseUrl)
at Microsoft.BusinessFramework.Security.EnterpriseInitializationModule.OnAcquireRequestState(Object sender, EventArgs e)
at System.Web.HttpApplication.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute()
at System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously)

The SharePoint site collection administrator account which is I used to install it working fine, I have added one user in BP 'Users and Group' like BP Employee and BP Internal user and more over add the user under Business Portal Administration setting. But no luck to access the BP site collection.  Even I have add the user as site collection administrator and added on super user in Web Service Security console.

One of my SharePoint Admin said to update Cumulative Updates of SharePoint Server 2010, but I don't know whether it's going to fix or not. Let me know how can I fix this issue? Thanks in advance for your valuable replies.

    Hi Sakthi,

    Are you using IE 10 or later version if so try to change browser mode to IE 8.  I have seen these kind of error and after pressing F12 and change browser mode and install active x and cab files it worked fine.

    Hi Babu,

    Thanks for your reply, but I have tried with IE 8.  Actually that message for tracking issue in web site so that I have changed the "web.confg" file in <customErrors mode="Off" /> tag.  Finally I found the MBF is not fetch the users.

    Make sure you have set up users not only in Business Portal but for SharePoint as well, in SharePoint people and groups. You didn't indicate if you have done it or not.

    Hi All,

    Thanks for your reply, finally I have fixed the issue.  When I have added the user in MBF(Microsoft Business Framework) then I've checked following tables and all the user must be same format like "domain\bpadmin" "domain\user1" ..."domain\user2".  If the user name looks different like "domain\bpadmin" and "domain.local\user1" its making the trouble to access "MBF User Authentication: Invalid User"

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    select * from MbfUserWindowsIdentity

    select * from MbfUser

    SELECT WINDOWSCREDENTIALS FROM MbfUserWindowsIdentity

    SELECT ALIAS FROM MbfUser

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    If its persist the same error, try once again to remove the user from MBF and add the user in "Users" under "Site Action -> Site Setting -> Business Portal Administration".
