Microsoft Dynamics AX (Archived)

Database instance error

Hi every one,

I was trying to install Dynamics AX 2012 Service Pack on Server 2012 R2.

I installed SQL Server 2014 on the same server but when i try to install AX 2012 [Database] i got this error messages:

An error occurred during setup a Database instance MicrosoftDynamicsAX on server "Server\SQL_Instance".

The Following error/warning occurred:object reference not set instance of object.

anyone had this problem before? 

please help with this.

    i know, this is my fault.

    I read AX 2012 R3 system requirements.

    In that case, use SQL Server 2008 with SP2 or SQL Server 2008 R2. Or you could use newer versions of SQL Server with CU5 for AX 2012 R1.

    You will save time if you check system requirements before installing anything.

    I'm trying to install Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack.

    I think i will try it with SQL Server 2008.

    Which exact version of AX 2012 R2 are you installing? SQL Server 2014 is supported from CU7, therefore you should have CU7 slipstreamed to your installation files.
