California law meal break

Hi,

Does field service support California labor laws for meal breaks? If so, how do we configure that.

The law states that a tech needs to take a 30 min break every 10 hours. Let me know. Thanks for your help and support.

Regards

Dont think this can be configured out of the box.

You can configure the Work hours manually however if you have too many agents, that will be a too much of manual task to handle every day.

One tweak that i can think of is as follows. This is just an another way of approaching the scenario.

    1. Through recurring automation (e.g. PowerAutomate) Create dummy work orders spanning half an hour with type/name "Meal Break" for each active agent

    2. Assign these work orders to the agents by auto creating bookings as well and setting booking start and end time to that of planned break start and end time

    3. Since tech is booked on actual work order during the break time, they wont show as available during that time period

    4. Create bulk delete routine to get rid of past Meal Break work orders routinely

    Hi,

The system cannot make staff take a 30-minute break for every 10 hours of work, but you can manually set their working hours.
You can also use it in conjunction with travel times for the convenience of dispatchers.
