Hi!
I'm a new user to Great Plains and the Smart List. When I try to run a Smart List for the new fiscal year 2020, I get no results. There are results when looking under the financial summary option in GP. I get the proper results for 2019. Is there something that we need to do with Smart List so it shows the details for 2020?

Hi Kate, this all depends on the report and the options set in the Smartlist.
I would suggest having a quick look at any DATE restrictions on the Smartlists that you are having issues with. Also if memory is not failing to badly, the GL reconcile might not be a bad idea after you do your year end.
Can not recall if there is anything in Smartlist that forces a reconcile, but if there is something, it could not hurt to see if that helps.
Sorry, just a quick and simple look at the reports might show you the best solution.

I am using the Account Activity report found under Financial \ Account Transactions. I'm unclear if this report came with the system or a prior employee created the report. One of the search criteria is the date...which I choose 01/01/2020 to 01/31/2020 and the other is the account number. Is there an administration side to the Smart List that would limit the fiscal year? I'm just surprised this report doesn't return a result for the new fiscal year.
Update....somehow this is now working. I decided to run other reports using the 2020 dates and found that they worked. Went back to the report above and now it works. :) Thanks for your help Bill.
