How to exclude/Filter suspended main accounts in trial balance report in AX 2012

Hi All,

In general ledger mainaccounts i have selected "suspended" Check box for some main accounts. In trial balance report, i want to exclude the suspended accounts.

To filter the suspended Accounts in trial balance report i was using select query criteria. I tried to add table "dimensionattributevalue" to get the field IsSuspended.
The respective table is not availabe in table menu.
Any idea how to filter/exclude the suspended main accounts in trial balance report.

Hi Mahadev,

This is not possible. On the main account, you can specify if the suspension is on the level of chart of accounts or for a specific legal entity. So it is possible to use one chart of accounts and have one account suspended where others are not or suspense the account for all legal entities on another level.

This is not one simple data storage which you can find in a single table. The table relations in the data model are also not prepared to use this in a query selection on the report or form.

At the other hand, why would you want to hide this one as it can be suspended, but still can contain balances.

If you export the trial balance to e.g. Excel, you can filter out rows that do not have amounts.

You can also go for a workaround where you assign e.g. a Main account category called "Suspended". Then it might be easier to filter on these accounts.

Hi Andre ,

I have a question related to hiding main account basically the encumbrances & pre-encumbrances account from the trial balance what is the best practice of doing it , regarding that the posting on these account is needed to provide the reconciliation of vendor encumbrances

Hi Marian,

If you are really talking about the Trial balance, I would like to see the debit and credit even when they have both the same value and the ending balance is 0.

I think for controlling purposes it is not correct to hide it then.

Hi Andre,

i have another problem, one of the AX users is not able to see few specific ledger accounts in the TB. Whenever she goes to the TB, one account is now showing in the list... what could be the reason and solution ?
