Hi,

I'm having trouble seeing my transactions in the budget of my project.

1. setup the budget in my project

2. stablished my original budget , (I dont want my budget to have a workflow approval)

3. Generated two transactions

4. But when i go and look for my project budget balance is empty , i dont know why ??

Please help, thanks

Hi Catalina,

I think workflow approval is mandatory in project budget. Only approved budget amounts reflect in budget balances.

Hi,

If you do not want to run the budget workflow, allocate project budget and check the budget balances.

Thank you , I created a workflow since it was mandatory.

Now when i go to project balances my original is showing but the transactions i created in the AP module for the project still doesn't appear to compare them to my original budget.

I don't know if there is a parameter i have to check for it to show.

Hi Catalina,

May I know which AP transaction you have posted for this project? Did you selected correct project category(TestCP) in AP transaction?

I posted two transaction with the category TestCP that is of transaction type expense. I did select the correct project category.

In fact when i go to cost control in the control panel tab and calculate the remaining budget it shows , but in project budget balance doesn't

Have you selected required transactions types in PMA parameters>Cost commitments? If not, enable the same and try.

And also can you create new transactions and check. Generally we follow below steps.

1) Configure project budget parameters

2) Create and approve project budget for project categories

3) Post project transactions using above project category

I activated the parameters and created the transaction

- The new transaction

- Budget balance , it shows now thanks you , is there any way i can also see the previous transactions made ?

I don't think it is possible to see prior transactions(before budget approval) in budget balances.
