Company range option on UI Builder class

Hi All,

Currently we have 2 customization reports that both able to select company range during report generation with the filter function. However, we noticed that in 1 of the report if the user is restricted to certain organizations, the company range list will be blank like below, while another reports doesn't encounter such issue.

After comparison on both customization, we found that 1 of the customization is using UI Builder class while another customization didn't use UI Builder class. Is that additional code required to add in Ul Builder class in order to solve this?

    What exactly do you want to solve? The fact that the user gets a list of companies choose form in the other report, despite the fact that it doesn't have permissions to access any but the active one? Or that the "Company range" tab is shown, although it doesn't contain any companies? Or do you want the user run the report even for companies that (s)he isn't allowed to access? Or something else?

    I don't think this may be due to UI builder class.

    Does both report have same security role or separate role for each reports?

    Hi Martin,

    By right the Company range list should appear only the company that is have permission for the users. The issues now is the Company range is empty and the customized reports was shown as blank.

    it is separate role for each reports because it was access by different group of users.

    Compare both security roles. Also check the assign organization is given correctly to each security role.

    Is these scenario working in system administrator role?

    Hi,

    I would recommend to check for security access of the 2 users instead. And if the security access are the same and both user can access cross company data then we will look further into the code

    Hi Girish,

    My colleague has checked the security roles. The organization is assigned correctly. It seem when the user is restricted to certain organization, then the Company Range will be blank.

    In System Administrator role, we cannot limit the access to certain organization. With Administrator role, the Company range will show full list of organization.

    I think this is a standard functionality, If the user has a role and that role has some organization assigned - Company range will be empty on the query filter I guess.

    Other report works fine because it doesn't have organization assigned to the role.

    This is my suggestion.
