Integration of D365 FO with Salesforce

Hi community,

I have a requirement where I need to Integrate Salesforce CRM with D365 FO.

The business process is:

1. Customers along with their Contact and Address details will be created in Salesforce (This needs to be synced (insert/update) with D365 FO)

2. Sales quotations will be created in Salesforce (This needs to be synced (insert/update) with D365 FO)

3. The sales quotations will be converted to Sales orders and processed in D365FO.

Transaction counts for Customers and Sales quotations is in the range of 0-100 per day and the integration should be synchronous.

I have explored ODATA as well as Azure logic apps for this, Could you please suggest the best way to do such integration?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sohan,

I'm not familiar with Salesforce. What are their options to start synchronous integrations? Giving the maximum of 100 quotations a day, performance should not be an issue and then you can use both OData as well as Azure logic apps. Note that the Dynamics 365 F&O connector is using OData and you can start data management file based integrations.

    Thanks Andre for the response.

I will further explore these options. Will definitely ask for suggestions.

If this is still relevant, I’ve done a similar Salesforce - D365 FO setup, and at that volume I wouldn’t overcomplicate it.

What worked better for us was using an integration layer (we used Skyvia) to handle mappings and sync logic. It made it much easier to manage customers, contacts, and quotes without writing a lot of custom code.

Biggest advice - define a system of truth early (SF for quotes, FO for orders) and use external IDs so updates don’t create duplicates. That saves a lot of pain later.

    Hello,

As far as I know, there are two main options for integration:
