Class used for generating Pro forma Sales Invoice

Hi, 

Can you please let me know what classes used for generating pro forma Sales Invoice? Is it same as for Original Invoice (SalesInvoiceDP and SalesInvoiceDPBase), then where pro forma Invoice logic is written ? please let me know.

    Hi Vishvas ,

    Its the same as the normal invoice, i.e. SalesInvoice or SalesInvoice_IN report. The title  "Pro forma invoice"  is defined by SalesInvoiceController.documentTitle().So try to debug normal invoice process and you will get the correct place of the written logic. I don't remember exactly but  put debugger in  the salesInvoiceDP class,  method useExistingReportData() which is called during poforma invoice generation. look or call stack to see from where it is called.

    You might also take a look at FormLetterService class for debugging.  there is a method there for posting sales order invoices.  Sorry I don't remember the method name off the top of my head.

    The classes are same in both cases.

    Note that, only the steps are different in either cases:

    In case of Invoice, custInvoiceJour & Trans are first generated, and the buffer is sent to the Report classes.

    In case of Proforma, a temporary version of custInvoiceJour & Trans used instead.

    Is there some specific difference you are looking for?
