Default finite material to unchecked when scheduling a production order?

Does anyone know how to default the finite material option to unchecked when scheduling a production order?  I have removed the check  under the production control parameters, but it continues to default to checked when we go to schedule a production order.

    Set each user's 'Default values' before performing any pdoduction order update/process function.

    The parameter settings refer to automatically performed updates (for instance if you start a created order it'll be estimated and scheduled automatically).

    Tim, I am new to AX2012 and I am not sure where to set the user default values that you refer to.  Although the other part of you answer has helped, by updating the status check marks we are now able to save some time and skip manually estimating and scheduling the job and go straight to release or start.

    If you could please point me in the direction of where I would find the user default values I would appreciate it.
