Dears Dynamics 365 Community,

I always try to assign roles to users, but I find it very difficult. Although I know how to use the (Security configuration) screen, it sometimes doesn't work, requiring the help of the technical team. Is there a way to find out the roles for each screen in the system smoothly and confidently?

Hi Mohammad,

On each form, you can open the Security diagnostics to check which roles, duties, and privileges are linked to the menu item that opened the page.

You can find this on the action menu bar: Options > Page options > Security diagnostics.

Note that the menu items on the action bar can have their own privileges and duties. E.g. posting a sales invoice is not part of maintaining sales orders.
