New created SSRS Report Data Provider not showing in Visual Studio Report Designer Dataset Properties

Hi,

I created new SSRS RDP class, then compiled, restart AOS and refresh the cache, but the RDP doesn't show in RDP list in VS Report Designer dataset query properties, SRSReportParameterAttribute(classStr(ContractClass)) and
SRSReportQueryAttribute('query')  attributes are properly declared also extends SRSReportDataProviderBase in the new RDP class.

Here's the current setup of our environment; we have 2 AOS Service on the Test Inv. and we have many companies in different countries which means multi languages is implemented.

Any idea of what would be the possible reasons that a new created RPD won't show in VS RDP list?

Thanks,

Ysrael

I'm not 100% positive, but I think you must have at least one method marked as SRSReportDataSetAttribute(tableStr(yourtemptable)) to appear to an SSRS report as a data provider.

make sure the RDP has  valid RDP methods, VS dataset datasource type = RDP, and make sure your default AX Config is set to the Server you are using with AX.

    [SRSReportDataSetAttribute("yourtmptbl")]

in the method calling your tmp tbl

Also, do not forget to do a Refresh elements while connected on the AOS you are using to connect with VS.

    Hi Ysrael,

Did you get any solutions? I have the same question, I created a new RDP class in AX but could not see it in VS RDP list.

please ensure you have used below Inheritance Class,

"extends SRSReportDataProviderBase" in your DP class

Run the full CIL and try restarting AOS service once.
