I used anylize data using excel (Excel for Office 365) pivot tables connected to Dynamics NAV 2016 webservice using ODATA.
(I always work remotely throght a VPN to my customer's network)
Now, when I try to connect (I use windows authentication) I get an error of invalid user id.
"We couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again."
I can connect in the same machine using a web browser (a user id and password dialog pops up) without any issues.
To be even more weird, old excel sheets previously connected (lets say 1 year ago) work fine!
Seems like new excel updates have done something to authentication process...
Or... maybe... now the company make us use Microsoft Authenticator, this means that when we access VPN, besides user id and password, I must type in a random number I get in my mobile through Microsoft Authenticator app.
this is the webservice:
myserver.com/.../Company('mycompany')/myquery

I have the same question (0)Solved: I just change webservice address replacing "myserver.com" for its IP.
Seems like last Excel update of odata connector wizard is not able to resolve names.
