Hi all
I want to buy 6 machines having windows 8.1
does AX 2012 R2 client support this windows version?

till CU 7, I tried to install it but not completed, it is recommended to use windows 8 even if you buy 8.1 you can downgrade your license
According to the new AX2012 System Requirements Documentation there is nothing telling about Windows 8.1. It just say that Windows 8 is supported.
But i am using AX2012 R2 Client with my Windows 8.1 Enterprise without any problems.

Can you give more detail on how you installed it in Win 8.1? I'm trying to run the setup file and it will not run even when I use Win 7 compatibility mode. Did you use a different installation method?

I just used a CU7 Slipstreamed installation file. Just this!
I did using booth a physical and virtual machine without problems!
Thanks, I ended up getting it to work on a different 8.1 machine. It was only one specific machine that wasn't working with the installation files.
