Email icon on leadform should open mail form

On the lead form there is a email field. That field has "new email" icon. When clicking the icon it opens my mailprogram on my computer. Is there anyway to make it open the email form in CRM so that the user doesn´t have to leave CRM to write the email?

Hi Kim,

Thanks for posting your question here. In Lead record, user can click on Activities tab in social pane as shown below and then open email record from there.

Hi,

This is OOB behaviour and it can not be customized.

As suggested above they can utilize timeline to create Email in CRM
