Configure Search This View - Released in Wave 1 of 2020

Hi Experts,

We have a view configured that shows a couple text fields from the current entity and then some lookups from a related entity.  When using the newer functionality to "Search this view" it will index some of the columns and not others.

Example, the custom entity I have related is called "Project" and this has some lookups on it like "Active Team", "Account", "Opportunity".  I am displaying each of these on the view and the Opportunity is searchable but the other two are not.  There does not appear to be a logical reason for this that I can think of.

Is there any configuration with this new functionality to identify what columns are searched and which ones are not?  The older model (which I could switch to, I understand) would be to identify the "Find" columns for the Quick Find view but I like the new world, just want to be able to identify what columns are searched.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Ok, found the issue, it does not search any fields that are not on the entity itself in this new "Search this view" functionality.  I just happened to have a field that was found that matched the Opportunity name (oops) ;)

    HI,

For Search this view to work you need to add that column in Quick find view Add find column.

Also field should be searchable in Field Properties.
