Is there a way to set up a Ded/Ben Shared Limit using both a Deduction Code and a Benefit Code?
Since HSA contribution limits include the employee contribution (Deduction Code) and the Employer Contribution (Benefit Code), I was hoping to set up a shared limit that looks at both of these codes. But, the drop-down is only allowing me to select Benefit OR Deduction.
Thank you.
Hi Patti,
Thank you for the response, you are correct that we don't have the default option of summing a benefit/deduction in the window, so the blog outlines our best recommendation for set-up in default code. Most end users design their benefit/deduction materials specific to their HSA need, such as basing the benefit on a deduction so when the deduction limit is met both the benefit/deduction will stop taking, etc. Note that there also may be a 3rd party tool available from the following vendor specific to your need: Home - Implementation Specialists (iscorp.biz)

Thank you; but, this does not address my questions. I want to ensure the maximum annual contribution amount is not exceeded through employee payroll deductions. These are all payroll check transactions. I don't have any questions or issue with how the funds get to the financial institution, simply how to set a limit that looks at about the employee deduction AND the employee benefit.
Hi Patti,
Our best HSA set-up and use recommendation for Dynamics GP is outlined in the following blog posting:
