don't relationship mappings transfer in a solution?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Perhaps I paranoid because of all the bugs with Dual Write but, I have never concerned myself with using validating the transfer of mappings included in a solution.  Now I see mappings in my solution in DEV that are not showing up in UAT.  I even made sure the relationship showed both under account and salesorder (they do.)  Am I losing my mind or should this not work?

TIA

They do.  I made the same mistake assuming if I include either one or the other Entity that mappings would be included.  It didn't work, leaving me confused about what to do.

The trick is to include both the Parent and the Child Entity in your Solution.

    Hi TallyHoDukey,

Have you included the latest version of your dual-write mapping? I mean, if you have made some changes in dual-write mapping and saved as next version, you need to manually include this new version in your solution.

Also, can I check if you have already applied the imported solution in F&O using 'Apply Solution' option under Dual-write?

    Hi,

Please confirm this, you have moved the solution from DEV to UAT with all relationship mapping and this relationship mapping are not visible on UAT?

    Is it correct?
