I have a question relating to the Cloud Migration Tool.

Is it Mandatory (i.e. integrated into the Migration Tool) to make use of Azure Data Factory as part of the migration or are there other tools to serve this purpose?

Our Company has moved away from ADF as a tool and we are unable to obtain an answer from our Partner as to whether any other tools can be used for this step.

We need to provide a justification to our Data Architects for this piece and I would like some concrete evidence that ADF is the only option we have for the on Prem to Cloud Migration piece.

As far as I know ADF is built into the migration tool so if you're using the tool you must use ADF.

I have tested it before, and as far as I know this is necessary. Without it, SaaS cannot access On-Pre data.

That is the service tool used to transform data from OnPrem to Cloud. If you don't want to use the tool, then you need to do it manually by using configuration packages or other tools.

Yes, ADF is a mandatory and integrated component of the official Cloud Migration Tool for moving from Business Central on-premises to Business Central online. There are no supported alternatives to ADF within Microsoft’s native migration framework.
