NAV 2016. Reports. Keep totals and tax details close to the footer

I'm having trouble getting the results we want in our Sales invoice Design.

The number of lines in the report can be any number between 1 and about 200 in some cases. After the Invoice Lines, we show the VAT details, where you get the VAT amount per VAT Type, so it's a table, and we can't actually put it in the footer without using variables which we really want to try and avoid, as we can have up to 4 types of VAT Types.

Is there any way we can keep the VAT details close to the footer?? We need some formula to dynamically add an empty space to the report depending on the number of lines.

Any ideas on how to achieve this? We created the design using the standard invoice as our base design, so we have "list1", "list1_contents" and all standard design objects.

my suggestion: use Word Layout report instead RDLC for document reports.

..but if you need to use RDLC report format, look at above links

nice post\solution by Steven Renders here:

Either you can print you footer details by adding one more table footer after you VAT details

or  you can fix no of rows in body .Check the below link

I think it would be better to use the Standard GetData ,SetData functionality used in standard Document reports to achieve this. So you can place the VAT details on footer and also able to hide it dynamically to print at last page.

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn833424.aspx

If I'm not wrong a dynamic formula for adding blank space on report based on number of lines not going to be a consistent solution.

Agreed with Binil. My view is also to use SetData and GetData functions and then add the content you want to print in a report footer. In that way you can guarantee that the content in the footer will print only in the page footer.

Can you provide a sample of the report you suggest in NAV 2016. Also the link is no longer valid Binil. Thank you.
