Help with exploding a purchase order which is a BOM

Good day,

New to D365 so sorry if posted incorrectly or I was unable to understand what am asking for in past posts.

I have a purchase order that is a BOM, now I want to receive that purchase order as individual components of the BOM.

So on the purchase order I want to split the BOM into the components that are used to make the BOM.

How do I go about doing that?

I am not too sure how exploding the BOM on the purchase order works (Purchase order line – Explode – BOM lines) but for this product that is grey out

Any assistance or guidance would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

Is the BOM approved and is the related BOM version active? Does it work for other items in your environment?
