Can't save/retrieve user personalisations

Hello,

I hope everyone is well.

I am using the inquiry 'voucher transactions' from the general ledger which i need in a specific layout for an audit request. 

I have spent quite a while personalizing it in one of our companies and i have saved the layout in order to retrieve it in the rest of our companies. 

I can load it in the company i saved it in but when i try to load in any of the other companies it says 'no configurations have been found' .

Is there something that i need to do in order to load it in the other entities?

    Hello Dreamxell,

    Can you let us know how you saved the personalization that you configured? Only for your user? In which form? Some additional information would help here.

    Thanks for the reply.

    It wont let me use screenshots on here for some reason but after i added all the fields that i needed, there is the option to save user setup. I think the save part works fine.

    There is also the button above this named 'load' and also another button called 'retrieve from user', but when i use either of these to try load the setup in a different company, it doesn't show up.

    But if i am in the same AX entity that i created the setup in, then i can view the saved setup by pressing the load button.

    Hi Dreamxell,

    by default you cannot load a personalization from another legal entity. There is a blog available here to do a modification to get it done: http://www.exploreax.com/blog/blog/2015/09/18/share-ax-user-form-customizations-between-companies/

    so it needs a developer to extend the system

    Hi Dreamxell,

    each personalisation is specific for legal entity.  All personalisations stored at legal entity/company level. Hence it not possible to load saved configuration to use in another companies/legal entities.

    EDIT- As suggested by Christoph Thaler, you can get this with customazation. but default behavior won't allow this.

    Thanks for the replies guys. I guess that solves it then.

    I will have to create the layout in each legal entity, it's going to be a long morning.
