Hi all,

We are exploring the Pasting from Excel feature and we successfully copied information from an Excel to a General journal in D365 FO. We managed to copy Debit and Credit values, however we wanted to copy a full journal, following the structure in D365. When we tried it, we got an error and it did not copy anything from the Excel. We also tried to copy the Account, Description, Debit/Credit and all fields were copied, except for the Account, which appeared Blank.

Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the functionality? Any tips?

Hi Magno,

For what reason do you need this copy&paste to excel for GL journal?

Are you on the very latest D365FO version?

Hi Ludwig,

We are in the version 10.0.17 testing this new feature.

We are inquiring what this Pasting from Excel (Grid capabilities) is capable or not.

What browser are you using? IE has some known issues with new grid control

Give it a try in the Edge browser and if things don't work there as expected, add a new note/comment in the ideas site that you can find on top of this site.

Hi André,

We are receiving the following error:

Our excel has the same columns and ordered in the same way. We are only copying lines and past in the general journal.

I would recommend to raise a support ticket for this error, I have seen this in past with the saved view feature but it was resolved.
