Hi:

I see in the journals that the "Comment" field does not carry forward with postings.

What field, then, can the end user utilize in General Journals or any journal so that General Ledger Entries and any trial balances contain notes for auditing purposes?

And, approximately, how many characters would such a field hold?

Hi, Comments can be posted from General Journal to General Ledger Entires, but are not displayed on the screen.
In addition, the length of this field is 250.

I recommend using "Comment"

Personalize you page your page and display the comment field in the General Ledger Entries.
