Table field increment

Hello guys!

I am trying to create a field on my table, which have to show Order of records. First record should be 1, second 2 etc. in this field of course. Field is Integer. But i don't want to use a number sequence. Is it possible?

    Hi,

    U can add code(logic -> lastvalue +1) in  insert method so that every time it will get incremented

    Hi CrazyJuras,

    This is possible. Create an index on your table with the "LineNum" field as last field. This index should not allow duplicates. Then on the form datasource you can set the property CounterField to "LineNum".

    In this way the field is auto incremented. I thought this will only work with a decimal field as it should be possible to insert lines in between.

    Another option is to use x++ logic on the insert method of your table to find the last number used and increment  with 1.
