I have recently deployed a new development environment.I am using standard OData syntax to retrieve data i.e., [baseURL]/data .I can see all entities with IsPublic Property set to yes. Then to view details of all the customers I am using [baseURL]/data/CustomersV3 . I have customers in my environment but am unable to see any customer details through OData.
Do I need to do something to enable OData in my environment?
It likely means that you have customers in another company than the default company of the user executing the OData query.
ensure customers are present in legal entity and also ensure running it from the right company
if needed could use cross company
http://[baseURI]/data/CustomersV3?cross-company=true
I see that exactly the same question (copy & paste) was asked by your colleague in the Insider Program forum on Yammer and it's already answered, therefore it's good to update this thread and make clear that the problem has been resolved.
To summarize it, you indeed have data in a different company and the accepted solution on Yammer is making a request to another company with /data/CustomersV3?$filter=dataAreaId eq 'USMF'&crossCompany=true.
