Product receipt and project expense

Hello everyone

I noticed that purchase order product receipts posting do not affect project transactions. I am trying a lot of different item model group setup and project group setup and nothing seems to allow the product receipt to affect the project.

Thank you for any suggestion.

    Hi Pierre-Olivier Lacasse,

There are two options how you can see the PO costs at the project level before posting the PO invoice.

The first and simplest one is activating the committed cost parameter, which shows the PO costs as 'committed costs' in the project statements. Yet, this does not create or post any transaction on the project.

The alternative option is activating the project parameter 'create item requirement' and 'item consumption'. If you activate the first one, AX asks you whether the Project consumption shall be posted when the PO packing slip is posted. If you activate the second parameter in addition, you won't be asked but AX just posts the consumption for the project with the packing slip.

Please note that activating the 'create item requirement' parameter deactivates the Option to create a PO from the item consumption form.

    Hope this helps,

    Ludwig

Works as explained, thank you. Note that non-stock items do not generate any project costs on reception with that setup. I am assuming this is based on the fact that we are not actually consuming anything for non-stocked items.

Anyways thanks a lot for your help.
