Distributing Header Charge Postings accross Line Financial DImensions

Dear Experts,

We have a requirement to Distribute the Sales order Header Charge amounts to the lines Financial dimension based on the value of the lines. I am fully aware of the Function to Allocate charges from header to lines and by doing this we achieve the same thing. This method has its challenges though, when charges are moved to the lines and a change to the order occures and we want to calculate new charges the allocated charges remain and New header charges are added. In other words the any change don creates a lot of manual work especially if we have up towards 20 lines ...

Is there any way to Keep the Charge on header level but distribute the booking across the lines Financial dimensions?

Hi Fredrik,

There is out of the box no such feature. You can try to distribute the charges last moment, but then again, you might expect changes and you will have some additional manual work. In case this happens more often in your organization, you can consider a customization for this requirement.

Thank you Andre!

As i suspected, i saw that there is Distribution functions for charges at POs but they seem very manual. Would be fantastic if this was also available on the SO side with a higher level of automation using rules such similar to the Allocate charge function. For now i think we will create a BI report calculating the Monthly distribution with an output format that can be used in a Journal on a monthly basis.
