HI, One of my Client Have the problem. "In RTC Version we get an error while selecting field A with description more than 60 characters in some pages. This works fine in Classic version." I tried to modify the field length and it was working fine in my machine RTC, but its not working on client RTC. I have personally imported objects into client machine, so there is no way that imported objects are wrong. Version- NAV 2009 SP1. Thanks In Advance.

    Hi,

In RTC page we can't define width of any field, it will check field width in table. Can you please delete object and re import it.

What i have the problem is I created a global variable in C/AL Global with datatype TEXT of size 30. I send that to client, he uses this page in RTC and found out that the length should be 50. I changed the length of variable in C/AL Global and imported new object(PAGE) in client machine, but it gives the same error that size cannot be greater that 30. I restarted the MSD Navision server Service and the oracle services but its not working.

Hi, i have the exact same situation. I added a bunch of fields to a table, and renamed one field, and also added the fields to a page. Then i imported the objects into the live database, and restarted the NAV service. I have done this many times, but I have never seen this before; when I check the objects in the designer, they are as i would expect, with new fields and so on, but in the client, nothing has changed.

Restart the NAV service and SQL Service. Most of the time this will resolve your problem.

Mainly this happen your metadata is not been sync properly.

This could happen because the change listener is not always listening and the changes you made are not reflected in RTC. Make sure the object tracking is setup properly.
